Faithfulness to the Word and Means of Grace
“Continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of…” (2 Timothy 3:14)
In all of our activities, from worship to meetings to social events, we make God's Word the center and focus of all that we do. Our pastors prize the opportunity to adminster baptism for infants and adults alike. Holy Communion is offered for all confirmed members, while respectfully observing the biblical doctrine of close(d) communion (& church fellowship).
“Worship in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24)
Together we affirm worship variety in which the following are central: the proclamation of God’s Word, the gospel of Christ (the forgiveness of sins), baptism and holy communion, prayer and praise.
“And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.” (1 John 1:3)
Our leaders and members strongly encourage one another in participating in both social and ministry activities. These activities are designed to be targeted to our whole membership.
“…whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31)
Our called workers and members aim to achieve the highest standards in the areas of ministry we target. While weaknesses exist, they are noticed and attempts are made to constantly strengthen our ministry efforts.
We also desire to value passionately these core values:
- Evangelism - We strive to follow Christ's Great Commission to share his saving love with all people
- Member Ministry - we strive to equip our members to serve Christ in love
- Families and Youth - Eternal Love will offer a variety of opportunities to serve the families of our community and give families a chance to serve
- Bible Knowledge - We strive to offer sound biblical preaching and teaching in all we do to strengthen our biblical knowledge
